Munya Mugari

Regional Representative

Munya has over 20 years working experience in accounting, auditing and corporate governance, in the private, public and not-for profit sectors in Zimbabwe and Australia, responsible for all financial, compliance, governance and legislative requirements. He has held senior positions across broad industry segments in roles including CFO, Financial Controller, Finance and Administration Manager and Chief Accountant.

Munya is a Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Fellow of Chartered Secretaries (FCIS, FGIA), Fellow of Chartered Secretaries (FCIS, FGIA) and holds an MBA specialising in financial management

With broad international experience across various sectors, Munya has, specific to the Livestock Sciences division, managed a dairy development program throughout Zimbabwe, improving genetics and increasing herd numbers and managing external relationships with government, private sector and NGO stakeholders.

With a firm belief that precision breeding is well suited to meet herd growth across Africa and beyond, improved genetics and herd health, he is driven to manage technology transfer to the governments and other stakeholders.
